Next Steps
Once your papers have been received, the agency will try and match you with a family. You will then receive a communication from the agency and the family, who may talk to you on the telephone. Be prepared to talk about yourself and have some questions ready. Do not accept immediately - give yourself time to consider and contact the Agency should you wish to check anything out. The agency does its best to check out families and, in many cases, we know the families well, having successfully placed au pairs there before.
Please tell the agency immediately if you no longer wish to be considered.
When an offer is made
Once you have received an offer from a family and have had reasonable time to consider it, you must let the family know of your decision. If you do not, the job may be offered to another au pair. Do not book your ticket until you have received a firm offer. If unsure, ask the Agency.
Travel Arrangements
Au pairs must arrange their own visas and must pay their own fare to Britain and inform the family of their arrival details, so that they can be met at the airport or station. We ask families to meet you at the airport. When you have an offer, please agree the arrival date and time with the family to ensure it is convenient for them to meet you. You must also tell the agency of your arrival date. The agency will pleased to advise regarding any difficulties about travel arrangements. |
